lalala so ready to wake up and go for my weekly hike! my friend and i have been improving our time every week. last time we hiked up 3 miles in an hour. it burned but it was amazing! hoping to match that time tomorrow :)
gonna try to do day 4 of the 30 day shred afterwards… we’ll see how that goes haha
hey :) last time you were so nice and helped me out with the bloating, so I thought that maybe you have an advice for this too. My problem is that I can't motivate myself anymore. I want to work out but for some reason I'm not doing it! I really can't explain, It's just so weird. Maybe it's just because of the school stress?
I’ve actually been struggling a lot this week with motivation. Sometimes in the middle of a long journey you lose sight of the end and it can be reeaaally hard to stay on track. For me, all it takes is one hard workout to get motivated again, but the trick is forcing yourself to do that one workout. This time, what seems to have worked for me was starting the 30 Day Shred. It only took 30 minutes (perfect for if you have school!) and it burned SO much but now that it’s over I’m ready to get back on track. Another idea would be to sign up for a group fitness class with a friend this week. That way, you’re accountable to them and you have to show up. Other than that, take a nice trip to the grocery store and stock up on delicious healthy foods that you’ll be excited to eat.
I hope school starts to get less stressful soon! Definitely don’t hesitate to ask me anything else in the future :)
I'm really sad atm. My problem is clean eating. It's everything I think about and this sucks because I don't think about it that positive. I know clean eating is the key for weight loss and especially for a flat fit tummy, my goal. I'm 15 and I don't cook, my mom does and she's not into clean eating. I don't know if I really want to make such a strict diet (For me clean eating is really strict because we rarely eat the right fish and meat). I dk what's the best nutrition for me I'm happy with..
Don’t be sad! It’s really easy to become obsessive over your eating habits. When you’re making a point to eat (or not eat) certain foods, it’s hard to eat mindlessly. But becoming obsessive about eating often leads to unhealthy habits. So, when you think about eating clean, try not to think of it as a restrictive diet. I eat clean maybe 80% of the time, mostly because I have an intolerance of gluten and dairy, which eliminates most of the common processed foods. One helpful tip I’ve gotten from fellow fitblrs is to divide your plate differently. Often we eat with a carb/starch as the main part, with small sides of meat and veggies. Try flipping that. Make the veggie portion the largest one on your plate, then meat, with the carb being the smallest. That way you can eat healthier while still eating virtually the same foods. Most nights, try switching fruit for dessert, but don’t completely deprive yourself! Sweets are fine when enjoyed in moderation. When you think “eat clean,” think “more fruit and veggies, fewer processed foods,” NOT “no processed foods.”
Sorry this is long, but I hope it answered your question! Feel free to ask more if you need to. I’d also be happy to share recipes.
Haha so I don’t know how to reply to my posts buut it’s delicious. Here’s the recipe: http://www.marthastewart.com/314453/breakfast-quinoa — Next time I’m going to try it with half the sugar, though, because it was pretty sweet.
